Thank you for your interest
in our unique Emergency Medicine Program!

All of us at St. Johns Riverside Hospital are excited at the possibility of having you become a part of our Emergency Medicine residency program. We accept applications only through the
Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

All residency positions are matched through the National Resident Matching Program

  • ERAS Application

  • Dean’s Letter (MSPE)

  • Medical School Transcript

  • Three letters of recommendations are required, but you do not need to have a Standard Letter of Evaluation this application cycle secondary to the educational limits placed during COVID-19

  • Personal Statement

Applicants of the 2020-2021 residency application cycle are facing unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. SAEM, EMRA, CORD, and many other national organizations have published a Consensus Statement regarding the 2020 Match. St. John's Riverside EM understands the difficulty in obtaining SLOEs secondary to COVID-19, and as such will not require for application. Non-EM letters of recommendation/SLOE are encouraged as a supplement to the EM SLOE.

  • Only complete applications will be reviewed. Applications received after this date will not be considered.

  • Interviews will be conducted via online video conference during the 2020-2021 application cycle - our top priority is the safety of our applicants. We will be holding video conference pre-interview dinners, as well as a virtual tour of the hospital facilities.

  • Please see the ERAS 2020 Timeline
